This city of glorious past was the seat of a small but powerful state, the Dubrovnik Republic, which maintained its independence for 450 years.
Discover its Old City, included on UNESCO`s World Heritage List, surrounded by mighty walls and fortresses, well preserved over the centuries. Our walking tour takes us to Stradun, an elegant main street with Onofrio`s Fountains, Franciscan Monastery with the ancient pharmacy, Orlando’s Column, Church of St Blaise-the city’s patron saint, Cathedral and other sights.
- Full Day Three Islands Cruise with Lunch:
We will take you on a pleasant cruise to the Elaphite Islands stretching west from Dubrovnik.
Abounding in luxuriant subtropical vegetation of laurel, pine, cypress and olive trees, thyme and rosemary, the islands used to be a favourite place for summer residence of the Dubrovnik aristocracy.
We sail to the island of Koločep, covered by dense pine forest with a picturesque fisherman village lying along the bay. We will continue to the village of Suđurađ on the island of Šipan, a fisherman’s port with a 16th century summer villa of the Skočibuha family.
Our last stop will be Lopud island that boasts its long maritime tradition and is a home of famous captains and sailors. We will take a Lungo mare walk to the Franciscan monastery and the 19th century Gjorgic-Mayneri park and have enough free time at leisure for swimming on one of the sandy beaches
