Description
Istanbul’s historic peninsula is home to many cultural and historical structures. Among these, the Church of Saint Antoine, the Neva Shalom Synagogue, and the Suleymaniye Mosque are among the most important places to see in Istanbul. Our tour covering these three structures takes 3 hours and 45 minutes.
During our tour, we visit these three structures on foot and using public transportation. In the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul’s historic peninsula, we will ride the Karaköy Funicular, one of the most interesting parts of our tour. This funicular is known as the second oldest rail transport system in the world and is one of the most enjoyable parts of our tour.
Another interesting point on our tour is the Galata Tower. This historic tower is where we will take a 45-minute break during our tour. From the Galata Tower, you can admire the breathtaking view of Istanbul and take unforgettable photos.
One of the most striking stops on our tour is the Neva Shalom Synagogue. This synagogue is one of the largest in Türkiye and reflects the cultural and historical richness of our tour. St. Anthony’s Church is another important stop on our tour. Built in the early 19th century, the church is the center of the Catholic community in Istanbul.
Our final stop is the Suleymaniye Mosque, one of the largest mosques of the Ottoman Empire. Designed in the 16th century by the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, the mosque is one of Istanbul’s most important tourist attractions.
This tour, encompassing St. Anthony’s Church, the Neva Shalom Synagogue, and the Suleymaniye Mosque, is an ideal option for exploring Istanbul’s historical and cultural heritage.
