To-ji Temple, also known as Kyo-o-Gokokuji, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks.

This exclusive program offers rare access to the temple’s hidden treasures, including areas typically closed to the public.

Begin with a special viewing inside the Five-Story Pagoda, normally off-limits to visitors. Admire its majestic Buddhist statues and experience the essence of esoteric Buddhist art. Continue to the Kondo (Main Hall) and Kodo (Lecture Hall), where the teachings and spiritual presence of Shingon Buddhism come to life.

You will also visit the Shoshibo, a rarely accessible and historically significant hall.

At Kanji-in, home to the National Treasure statues of the Five Great Wisdom Kings, enjoy a formal shakyo (sutra copying) experience—a time for quiet focus and inner stillness.

The journey concludes with a limited-edition goshuin (temple seal), offered exclusively to participants.
