Choose this 2-hour walking tour starting at Nieuwmarkt, in front of the Waag. With passionate local guides in your chosen language, explore the origins of the city at the Amstel River and hear stories of the Spanish and French invasions, including Napoleon Bonaparte.

Walk through Dam Square, Nieuwmarkt and see De Waag, learn about Rembrandt van Rijn and the powerful Dutch East India Company (VOC), wander the Begijnhof, the 9 Streets, the Flower Market and the Jordaan District, passing the Anne Frank House with moving WWII stories.

The 1-hour tour starts also at Nieuwmarkt and covers highlights such as the Red Light District, VOC and Dam Square, before ending near the Anne Frank House with powerful WWII stories.
