Starting from the Arctic Adventures Hut in Skaftafell, you'll board our 4×4 bus for a scenic drive to the glacier's edge. You'll cross Falljökull, the "Falling Glacier," to reach the hidden Virkisjökull, the secluded "Fortress Glacier" where most of the hike unfolds. Far from the standard glacier routes, you'll walk through a quiet world of towering ice formations, dramatic icefalls, and striking basalt columns. This is a glacier almost to yourself!
