The Amargosa dunes are so steep and so tall that you’re not likely to get to the top of many of the larger ones, but we know you’ll have fun trying. These are the tallest free-standing dunes in North America! One of the best parts is the huge ‘bowls’ formed between the large dunes. You zip towards the bottom only to race back up the other side, then turn around and repeat. This is a supervised free-roaming off-road adventure tour:
1. We’ll show you around the area so you know where on the dunes is OK to play
2. We’ll provide education about the protected Big Dunes Beetle to be sure you know where the no-go zones are.
3. Guides will show you how to drive the buggies and navigate over the sand razorbacks and how to avoid getting stuck in the deep soft sand
4. Then you’re free to explore all on your own while our staff stays on-site to assist as needed and to make sure you’re having a safe adventure.
