A journey through history: from the Mamertine Prison to the Colosseum

Get ready for a tour that will take you to the heart of ancient Rome, through some of the most iconic places in the Eternal City. From the cramped prisons of the Mamertine Prison to the majesty of the Colosseum, passing through the ruins of the Roman Forum and the wonders of the Palatine Hill.

First stop: the Mamertine Prison

The tour begins at the Mamertine Prison, located at the foot of the Capitoline Hill. Here you will pick up your entrance tickets, valid for all stages of the tour. Considered the oldest prison in Rome, it was intended for the most important prisoners of the Empire, including, according to Christian tradition, St. Peter and St. Paul.

Second stop: the Roman Forum 

Leaving the Mamertine Prison, you will find the entrance to the Roman Forum, the center of political, social, and religious life in ancient Rome. Continuing on, you will climb the Palatine Hill, where Romulus founded Rome in 753 BC, with a breathtaking view of the city.

Last stop: the Colosseum

The second stop is the Colosseum, the symbol par excellence of Rome's greatness. Inaugurated in 80 AD, it could accommodate up to 50,000 spectators for gladiatorial combats and arena shows.

After the tour: Open Bus One Run

At the end of the visit, enjoy a complete tour on the panoramic Open Bus of Rome (One Run) and admire the main monuments of the Eternal City from the comfort of the double-decker bus.
