Porvoo is the most popular day trip destination from Helsinki, and for a reason. It is a picturesque small town with a lot of history. Did you know that first man who defeated Napoleon had a big conference in Porvoo in which the Grand Duchy of Finland was established. In the middle of the conference there was also a spark of love which later inspired books and movies.
Porvoo is only 50km from Helsinki and therefore very accessible. The city is one of the oldest one in Finland, which is reflected in its medieval town plan and old wooden houses. Porvoo old town with it's beautiful river scene is part of the national landscape of Finland.
The tour starts with a transportation from Helsinki city centre. When arrived in Porvoo, you have 1,5h hour tour with a live guide, who will tell about the history and special characteristics of the city. After that, you have 1 hour of free time for eating at the good-quality restaurants or shop at the lovely little boutiques. Then we'll take you back to Helsinki.
