No destination is too far from Rome by high-speed train. Let us take you to Venice and back in just one day, with skip-the-line access to St. Mark’s Basilica.

You will be collected from your hotel and driven to Roma Termini railway station, where you’ll meet your tour leader for check-in. Travel by high-speed train, reaching Venice in a bit more than three hours. From Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, a vaporetto stop is just a stone’s throw away — enjoy a ride on Venice’s typical public transport waterbus for a first glimpse of the city’s amazing views, architecture, historical buildings, and church façades.

St. Mark’s Square is the heart of the historical center. After a short two-minute walk from the vaporetto stop, take in the magnificence of the western façade of St. Mark’s Basilica, with a skip-the-line entrance ticket included. From St. Mark’s, get lost in Venice’s famous maze of alleys (calli) and discover its iconic bridges. Spend some time shopping, sipping an espresso in a historical coffee shop, or relaxing at a modern bar. A stop at the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri) — one of the city’s most photogenic spots — is highly recommended. At the end of the afternoon, head back to the station and board the train back to Rome, arriving at approximately 10:10 PM, with a transfer back to your hotel to complete the day.
