This half day excursion goes from Mirabell Square through the Austrian-German border to Obersalzberg. There you have to change into special buses fitted with specific engines and brakes to take you up the 6.5 km long, 4 m wide and 22% uphill grade road to the Eagle's Nest .

At the end of the road you walk through a 124 m long tunnel and then take an elevator up. From the plateau you will have a breath-taking view of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. Discover the alpine fauna and flora and walk to the summit cross nearby. Before returning to Salzburg, you have the possibility of exploring the picturesque little town of Berchtesgaden.
