St Patrick's Cathedral is the largest gothic-style Catholic cathedral in the United States. Taking up an entire city block, the cathedral opened in 1879. This marble-clad building is considered one of New York City’s finest buildings with its towering twin spires, and the 9000 lb. bronze doors.
