Discover the “Mother City’s” most spectacular natural wonders on our Private Cape Peninsula Tour. This comprehensive journey covers the very best of Cape Town’s biodiversity and coastal scenery. From the panoramic heights of Table Mountain—one of the New7Wonders of Nature—to the rugged cliffs of Cape Point and the charming African Penguins at Boulders Beach, this tour is the ultimate Cape Town bucket list.
Travel in luxury along some of the world’s most scenic coastal roads, including the legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive, while enjoying the flexibility and insights that only a private local guide can provide.
Table Mountain Summit: Ascend via the revolving cable car for 360-degree views of the City Bowl, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Twelve Apostles.
Cape of Good Hope & Cape Point: Visit the most southwestern point of Africa. Hike or ride the funicular to the iconic lighthouse for dramatic ocean panoramas.
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony: Encounter the famous endangered African Penguins as they waddle across pristine white sands and granite boulders.
Chapman’s Peak Drive: Experience 9km of breathtaking engineering and cliff-side curves on one of the world’s most beautiful coastal roads.
Colorful Bo-Kaap: Stroll through the historic Cape Malay quarter, famous for its narrow cobblestone streets and vibrant, multi-colored houses.
Simons Town & Camps Bay: Enjoy the colonial charm of South Africa’s naval base and the “glitz and glam” of the palm-lined Camps Bay promenade.
01. Table Mountain & Bo-Kaap We begin with an early ascent of Table Mountain to beat the crowds. After soaking in the views, we head to the Bo-Kaap to explore the 1790s-built Auwal Mosque and capture the rainbow-colored houses of the Cape Malay community.
02. The Atlantic Seaboard & Chapman’s Peak We drive through the upscale Camps Bay and Hout Bay, leading into the majestic Chapman’s Peak Drive. We’ll pause at the best lookout points to photograph the dramatic cliffs and the turquoise Atlantic waters.
03. Cape Point & The Cape of Good Hope Enter the Cape Point Nature Reserve to stand at the edge of the continent. Watch for wildlife like baboons and Cape eland as we head to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, you’ll witness the dramatic power of the ocean where the two currents meet.
04. Simons Town & The Penguins We stop at the historic Simons Town for a taste of naval culture before visiting the stars of the show: the African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Wander the protected boardwalks for an up-close (but respectful) look at these charming creatures.
05. Return via Muizenberg Our journey back to the city takes us along the False Bay coast, passing the colorful beach huts of Muizenberg—the perfect final photo of an unforgettable day.
Trying to see all these sites in one day via public transport or group tours can feel rushed and impersonal. Our Private Tour allows you to linger at the penguin colony or spend extra time at the lighthouse based on your preference. We optimize the route to avoid peak traffic and ensure you arrive at the most scenic spots during the best light for photography.
