Description

Denmark’s Viking Age didn’t happen in a museum — it happened here, on Zealand, along a real historical route of rune stones, burial mounds, and ship remains that still shape how we understand the era today. This is not a costumed walk or a themed stroll. It’s a focused journey through the actual places where power was won, gods were worshipped, and trade routes were opened.

Starting from Copenhagen, we move at a deliberate pace into the surrounding region, where Zealand’s most significant Viking landmarks are concentrated — including Roskilde, home to the Viking Ship Museum and a cathedral where Danish kings still lie buried. Along the way, the story is told through four threads: religion, power, trade, and everyday life, each anchored to a place you can stand in and touch.

Built as a private experience for a maximum of 6 guests, the tour stays unhurried and personal — no crowds, no scripted headset commentary, just a local Danish guide who knows which stories actually matter.

The standard format runs 5 hours, but for those who want to go deeper it extends into a full-day or multi-day route across Zealand, adding further sites and museums.

Pricing

The guided experience is priced per private group, not per head — so the more you share it, the less each person pays.

• Guide service (5 hours, up to 6 guests): 2,200 DKK per group (approx. €295)
• Per person at full group of 6: approx. 367 DKK (€49)

Getting there

Several sites are reachable by train from Copenhagen, but train tickets are not included. For door-to-door comfort we offer an optional private transfer (pickup & drop-off), invoiced separately:

• Private transfer, 5 hours: 3,750 DKK per group (approx. €503)
• Guide + transfer, full group of 6: 5,950 DKK total (approx. €798)
